Difficulty level in Manager mode

What is the effect of the difficulty level in Manager mode?

I know this has been discussed alot in the past. I bet if you do a search, you will see several threads concerning manager mode difficulty levels.

I did a search before posting this, for "Difficulty" or "Manager Mode", and didn't find anything close...

I believe on the harder difficulty levels, your players play worse.

You mean its like being the Mets? Where lots of talented players end up and stop performing? Thats not too fun...

I remember seeing this somewhere, when the manager diff gets harder the owner's attitude gets worse. Not 100% sure though.

all i know about difficulty is that it pisses me off to see Ichiro fall from a 5 star to a 2 star player by the end of the year when i play in manager mode....
