If you bought the beta, you will be able to buy the final game at an extremely reduced price (read: $0.00)

No. When you buy now, you're pre-ordering the final game, and getting immediate free access to the beta.

Technically, yes, but not completely. I've already seen people get mad that they spent money on an unfinished game, or that OOTPD has the nerve to charge for a beta.

This wouldn't happen if they viewed it the other way around, thinking of it as a pre-order plus complementary beta access.

So, yes, it all works out the same way, but if people are going to get mad about how they spent their money, a distinction then needs to be made

Yeah. It'd help if people saw it as helping test the beta and the eventual finished product is what they have paid/pre-ordered for.

It makes no sense to get upset considering just how raw/daunting this task is already. The fact that so many people are willing to help beta test to achieve a good/great first version should be commendable.

Imagine beta'ing OOTP 0.90. You can't expect it to look like or resemble OOTP 4/5/6 etc. right out of the chute.
