I went to bed after the 10th and I'm glad I did. I wouldn't be able to get up to go to work if I watched it all.

Lately I've been watching all the Pacific time zone night games the next day with the MLB.tv app. Well I started the game at 7:30 a.m. and it was after 2 p.m. when it was done.

I was watching live, Balfour was pitching after the A's tied it. Around 0200h EDT my cable box went off for an update I think. Initially it pissed me off but in hindsight getting to bed was a better idea.

The A's are an easy team to like. A lot of characters on that team. Cespedes despite not running out that tying hit is a monster talent. One of those players like Robbie Cano that you go to see.

Taking 2 of 3 from the Yanks in NY is pretty good. I only saw the Thursday game though. I've been really impressed with the way Donaldson has been playing the whole year, I hope he keeps this up. I knew the power would be there, I just didn't think he'd be as consistent has he has been.

On a side note, it looks like they have decided to put Lowrie at second. My guess is they're hoping Nakajima will eventually come into his own and take short.

Sounds like Nakajima had an injury setback so he could still be awhile.

Great to get the series win. It got kinda scary at the end today but the A's pulled it off.

So, Angel Hernandez is pretty much the worst ever. Can't wait for the A's to get out of Cleveland and away from that crew.

Mike & Mike were talking about that HR call this morning and said the commissioner should step in and have the game replayed with the score tied at 4-4 with 2 outs in the 9th.

I don't think we can start going back and replaying games. Whether the umpire(s) makes a bad call or not, we have to live with it. I'm quite sure the Orioles would love to go back and replay that play-off game from the 90's that had the clear fan interference on the HR. Of course replay wasn't in use back then, but think about it. As soon as you do it once, the precedent is set and it becomes a regular thing.

Although I'm not "against" replays per se, personally I liked sports a lot better without them. I can live with human error no problem at all, it's part of everyday life. It happens enough that it balances itself out.

Utter incompetence, but given its the same guy who did this and has a well-established reputation around the league for being blind its not actually that surprising.

Looked at the box score and Brandon Moss finished the game in center. I thought Taylor would be the backup centerfielder, but I guess I was wrong. Moss doesn't have any type of blazing speed.

Either way, I just like to see the W...

Yeah, I noticed Moss ended up in CF one of the other nights that Cespedes left early. I guess all the other choices are on the DL.

I'm sure that Daric Barton doesn't like pie and that's why he'll never fit in.

He finished this game at 3rd with Donaldson at SS.

Oh, and I really love Chris Young right now.

That game against Houston where he hit the 3-run HR, I kinda expected it. No way we lose a game to Houston!
