Sim Freeze - help please

I'm the commish of an online league (7th season - moved from OOTP3 through to OOTP5).

I'm having trouble with the sim freezing while simming one team's game. It doesn't do it all the time - but it's definitely one team. If I attempt to sim this team's game the program will freeze (CPU usage will go to 100% - and just stay there for ever). If I end the program and re-start - the team's record will have been updated - but not the stats - and there is no record of the game being played.

I can't see anything obviously wrong with the team (no weird names - no game crashes when clicking on a player on this team) - but it's defintely this team.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

Nuk

you need to make sure of a couple of things. for starters, make sure the owner is sending in an export from his software, and that its the same version you have (ie: version 5.11; if you have the 5.11 patch, and they have a previous version, this could cause a lockup.) Also, make sure the owner didnt change anything in his team setup menu (ie: manager name, stadium, etc.)

I had a couple of new owners join my league at the beginning of our first season on OOTP5, and i had to deal with both of the forementioned issues. Once we i figured it all out, I never had another problem.

Hope this gets you in the right direction

Thanks for the advice - it does look like it's something with the export file I was sent - I copied the league and switched the troubled team to computer control and things simmed fine.

Still haven't heard back from the GM of that team - so I haven't nailed down the possible reason for the glitch (older version of OOTP5 - minor editing, etc.)
