Hey, how do you attach multiple images to a post and get text between them. Every time I attach an image it just puts it where ever it wants and I can never get multiple images with text involved by attaching the images (Which is why I'm uploading to photobucket and inserting image via URL) What's the secret?

WEEK 6 and the rebuild begins in earnest.

Harrell 2-4 2B (7) HR 3 RBI's (16) TRADE NEWS-The deal for Gonzales could be a coup. His 'stuff' is actually better as a starter, he's 25 as well. The deal allows me to move Miller from the rotation to the pen as a lefty, move the current lefty, Bill Caldwell, from the IBL pen to the AAA starting rotation, where he belongs. Paco Martinez is a ++ defender and a top of the order bat with speed, in time. He'll head to AA. I've made some offers to free agents, older guys, to plug some holes just for this year. The Smith trade adds some potential SP depth as well as essentially turning my 3rd rounder into an early 2nd rounder. The net result to the big club is Gonzales moves into the Alaska rotation, Miller to the pen. Ash Carter (former Iron Pig prospect) is called up, as is Duane Long, both RHH's, which is much needed. They'll both start vs LHP. 5/9 ALK 7 EDM 5 W-Gonzales (1-1) L-Espinoza (3-3) S-Wheeler (10) HR EDM-Secarra (1) Johnston (1) Gonzales 5-7-4-4-3-3 debut Harrell 3-4 2B (8) 5/10 EDM 5 ALK 3 W-Springer (1-2) L-Solis (1-3) S-Trent (2) HR ALK-Harrell (6) EDM-M.Griffin (9) Springer 8.2-6-3-3-1-6 Solis 5-8-3-0-0-5 Harrel HR 3 RBI's (21) Gil (EDM) 3-4 2 RBI's (23) 5/11 EDM 3 ALK 2 W-Jones (3-3) L-Rubop (3-4) S-Trent (3) HR ALK-Gomez (1) Jones 7.2-7-2-2-2-7 (W) Rubio 6-9-3-3-2-4 (L) Foster (EDM) 4-4 SB (6) WEEK 6 SUMMARY MINOR LEAGUE UPDATEFL POTW-Mike Francis (HAW) 12-25 7 HR's 11 RBI's (.357-14-24) CL POTW-Jayson Pierce (DAL) 12-21 2 HR's 11 RBI's (.321-6-24) WEEK 6 POWER RANKINGS 1) Fresno (2) 2) Michigan (-) 3) Chicago (5) 4) Corpus Christi (1) 5) Staten Island (-) OUT Boston (12) Columbus (8) Alaska (16) AAA Eagan (27 +1) 4th SB 5th AVG AA Kodiak (32) 13-25 10 GB 3rd SB 4th Def Eff A(S) Spokane (13 -5) 20-18 5 GB 2nd Runs/AVG 4th SB A(N) Yakima (26 -1) 15-23 -8 4th SB SS Juneau R Fairbanks IRON PIG UPDATE 25-12 (5-2 week) and 3 up on Columbus. 2025 WEEK 7 some big signs, trades and injuries
2025 WEEK 7
RECORD: 4-2 OVERALL: 25-20 .5 GB (Edmonton 25-19) RUNS SCORED: 202 (25) 12th RUNS AGAINST: 193 (21) 2nd OWNER: Good FANS: 66/100 SCHEDULE: 1 @ Edmonton/Off Day/3 @ Hawaii/2 vs Michigan 5/12 ALK 4 EDM 1 W-Santos (2-3) L-Morales (0-2) S-Wheeler (11) HR NONE Santos 8.1-8-1-1-1-3 (W) Morales 7-7-3-1-2-8 (L) McBryde 3-4 5/13 Off Day Free agent news Veteran RP Glenn Hanna has agreed to a 1 year 1.015M dollar deal. He'll add some pen depth from the left side. Hikaru Endo, another veteran LH signed a 1 year deal as well. We also managed to shock some folks, signing 28 year old OF Manuel Rodriguez to a 2 year 15M dollar deal. He plays all 3 positions, is a legit 3 hole power bat, and can run. Unsure if this was to keep him around, or deal him at the deadline, our scouts give the guy a 5 star rating, still. He's a career .277/.356/.460 hitter in 650 games with 90 HR's and 79 SB's. The Rodriguez signing also allows me to send OF Kevin Olson to Eagan to get more AB's. He's a legit prospect and player, and nearing his peak most likely, but has a lot of room to grow with his zone discipline. Rodriguez was also a compensation player, and since we've moved to the 2 slot in round 1, that's protected, so we'll lose 1 of our 2 2nd round picks in this years draft. INJURY NEWS-Major injury news out of Dallas (news below) 5/14 HAW 8 ALK 0 W-Oswalt (6-3) L-C.Durham (2-3) HR HAW-C.Rodriguez (3) Soriano (8) Oswalt 7.1-3-0-0-1-11 (W) Durham 3.1-4-1-1-1-1 (L) left in the 4th Soriano HR 3 RBI's (23) Massey (HAW) 3-4 2B (6) INJURY NEWS-Durham has a sore elbow, and depending on timing he'll skip a start, or be DL'd. TRADE NEWS-RP Mike Miller, who's really a starter but not IBL ready yet, is out of options and struglling. He's a lefty, but he's also 27. I floated his name and San Antonio has offered up a guy our scouts rate as a future 5 star closer, Alonso Ramos. Miller is dealt, Endo is recalled from Eagan and Ramos is sent to Kodiak (AA) to get some innings. I also agreed to terms with 33 year old veteran SP Manny Ibarra. He's 66-98 lifetime with a 4.97 ERA in 207 starts. It allows me to continue moving the younger prospects into their rightful spots and teams. 5/15 HAW 7 ALK 6 W-Morris (3-4) L-Gonzales (1-2) S-Perez (5) HR HAW-Francis (15) Rivet (HAW) 2B (2) 3 RBI's (5) ROSTER NEWS-Former Iron Pig catcher, and prospect, Martin Ramirez was signed to a 1 year deal today. He's thrown far far better than the line would tell you. It will allow me to send Gonzales to AAA to continue learning in a much less hostile environment. Sheppard has been recalled and will be the long guy, get his innings in the right spots. The AAA rotation now has 5 2+ star starting pitchers, with Ibarra (33) the only guy of age, everyone else is 25 or younger. Exactly my first priority, get some younger high ceiling pitching as fast as possible. That way instead of 'having' to draft pitching, I can take the best available. May ends, awards and standings..
Our first monthly award in Alaska. And Fresno appears to be the CL's version of Chicago.
Cordero was my 1st pick in the 2020 draft, 18th overall, out of Bryant College. At the time scouts had him with a monster toolset and huge projections, but that was very shortlived. My scouts never again saw him in anything but a 'fringe guy' image, 4th OF type. He hit for very good power, and ran like hell in A and AA, but was not the average guy, and then he blows up in AAA in 2024 going .299/.359/.610 with 41 HR's and 115 RBI's and continues on in a September call up hitting .317-6-22 in 19 games, and making the post season roster, where he hit 4 HR's and drove in 11 in 15 games. He was then dealt to the team that beat him, Boston, for SP prospect Bud Stevenson, and has done nothing but hit since joining the Bombers.

Long time lurker, first time poster sir. Really enjoy what you have done here and trying to catch up with the old Iron Pigs as well. Think I have learned some things as well.
For example. I kicked around several league, some real life, some fictional. Could not follow fictional and always went back to real life. Tried several ways of playing. Play out each game, pitch by pitch. Got burned out. Play first game of the series, then Sim out the rest. Did not like those results. So here I am suffering through a .500 season and really felt it was going to get worse. I find you play defense only, then take over in a close game in the 8th inning. Wow, what a difference. I go on a 9 game win streak. Offense comes alive, pitching was better. And the bullpen, which was flirting around a 5 ERA drops down to 3.86 ERA. And for once, I feel comfortable. Now I want to go back to fictional players. So now I am looking for more nuggets of information. Trading for one. I hear trading is easy in this game. I find it not so much, as I get the player who I want, but always feel like I am being bent over. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Finances, You and Mr. Orcin touch on them a little. But unless I am missing something, not in great detail. Perhaps alittle more insight on these as well. But I'll be quite now. Didn't mean to hijack or anything. Just wanted to post a few thoughts and say you are doing a great job here. |

2025 Alaska Avalanche Draft
Since this is my first year as GM of this club, I thought it prudent to look back on their brief history, and drafts. 2015 1st Round (2nd overall) Jerry “Soda” Grant- (2B UCLA)-Outstanding pick, has hit .271 with 211 HR’s in 1084 games. In his Alaska career he hit .253/.305/.416 with 88 HR’s and 126 SB’s in 5 seasons with 356 RBI’s. 2016 1st Round (7th overall) Raul “Ice Cream” Rubio-(SP Granton HS, Granton, WI) 63-58 3.83 through today. Best year was 2023 when he went 18-9 2.88 in 250 IP. 1 All Star Appearance. Compensation eligible free agent at years end. Want’s 15-16M per year. 2017 1st Round (14th overall) Jesus Solis- (SP Vanderbilt) 71-72 4.35 ERA in 226 starts. 9th season in Alaska. 2018 Supplemental Rd 1 (25th overall) Steve Price- (SP USC) Traded to Staten Island in 2022 for 3B Mark Hayes and SP Matt Byrne and a 2nd round draft choice. Was 26-23 for Alaska, is 34-27 since. Is 60-50 4.50 lifetime. His best year was 2024 when he went 16-10 3.89 in 34 starts. Hayes was sent to Sacramento 2 years later for 2B Jimmy James and MR Wilton Phillips, Matt Byrne is starting at AAA Eagan, but has been on the DL since September of last year with a torn labrum. The 2nd pick became SP Bill Caldwell, who’s in AAA Eagan’s starting rotation. 2019 1st Round (7th overall) Gabriel Gonzalez- (OF U. of New Mexico) dealt to Tulsa with RP Jose Navarro for 2B Raul Cruz and a 2nd round pick. Cruz was a flop and retired in 2022, the 2nd round pick was Aurelio Lopez, IF, who was then dealt to Dallas with 3 other players for CL Dave Winston and 2.96M in cash. 2020 1st Round (15th overall) Florent Rivet- (3B Concordia U.) Traded to Hawaii in 2021 for Utility man Brian Milton and 2.68M. Backup 1B/3B in Hawaii. Milton is now in New Hampshire as a reserve IF/OF. Supplemental Rd 1 (32nd overall) Angel Martinez-OF (Rice) Drafted by Edmonton in 3rd round of 2019, went unsigned. In 156 IBL games is hitting .203/,314/.372 with 18 HR’s 77 RBI’s. 2021 1st Round (12th overall) Bruce Gardner- (1B/3B St.Paul’s Prep, Phoenix, AZ) Dealt to Dallas as part of the Dave Winston trade in 2021. In AA hitting .253 with 10 HR’s this year. 2022 1st Round (29th overall) Estefan Ortega- (OF Cleveland St.) Cup of coffee last September, A(N) MVP in 2023. Likely 4th or 5th OF at best, corner guy. 2023 1st Round (17th overall) Arturo Rivas- (RP Wake Forest) AA All Star this year, mid to late innings RP is his ceiling now. 2024 1st Round (18th overall) Harris “Dracula” Boucher- (SP Frederick HS, CO) #34 IBL prospect, at Spokane (A) and 2-3 2.70 in 6 starts. 2025 DRAFT Round 1 1) Baltimore Colts-Chris James 18 (1B) R/R 6’8” 240 Deer Park HS, TX-A huge target (6’8!) with huge power and a great eye for the zone. Plays enough D to play 1st, no wheels. 2) Alaska Avalanche-Mike Bowman 20 (SP) R 6’3” 205 Regis College, Denver, CO-Big time power arm, 95-97 with 3 ++ pitches. Huge work ethic, leader. Will go right to A Ball if he signs. Ask is south of slot #. a. Thoughts. Scouts want Joe Summers, an 18 year old 2 way star. OF with huge power projections and a mid to upper 90’s SP. His ask is just below slot, but I want a potential ace, and his ceiling doesn’t say ace. Mike Bowman is one of the guys I scouted, and re-scouted. A 20 year old big kid who’s very durable, and has a fantastic work ethic. He’s mid to upper 90’s with a great changeup. He’s also just 20, past HS enough to see the tools, but not old enough to be ‘too old’ imo. 3) New Orleans Voodoo-Joe Summers 18 (OF/SP) R/R 6’ 170 Shepherd HS, MI-Two way superstar. 4 hole 40+ homer power, and a 95-97 fastball to go with 3 other pitches. Wants to play LF though. + defender, no wheels. 4) Chicago Iron Pigs-Hubert Zmelik 20 (OF) R/R 6’ 195 Oral Roberts U., OK-3 hole hitter, HoF speed. .330/.400 type bat and eye, 7M ask! a. Their first draft without me as the GM, and they go HUGE money kid. Super tools player, student of the game who works his ass off. 5) Providence Black Sox-Alfredo Hernandez 19 (1B/OF) L/L 6’3” 185 Royal HS, Royal WA-Top of the order LH bat who can fly. Plays mean 1B in addition to all 3 OF positions. Leader who influences his teammates in a good way. 6) Buffalo Bisons-Will Blanton 20 (C) S/R 6’6” 220 Stanford-Enormous target, in my opinion WAY too big to be a catcher. Big catchers wear down 10x faster. Optimal, to me, is 6-6’1”. 5.5M ask, 4 hole power bat with well above average ability behind the plate already. 7) San Jose Sharks-Ernesto Davila 19 (SP) R/R 6’3” 190 St. Lous U.-Drafted 2nd overall last year by New Orleans.Low to mid 90’s guy with a great change up. 8) Houston Roughriders-Raul Lopez 22 (SP) R/R 6’3” 215 UCLA-Huge arm, 96-98 with ++ slider, split. AA ready now. 7M ask. 9) Las Vegas 51’s-Nich Curran 18 (SP) L/L 6’4” 200 New Life Academy, MD-low to mid 90’s sinkerballer. Will work deep, plays the game hard, maximizes his toolset. 10) Hawaii Warriors-Matt Daniel 18 (SP) S/R 6’1” 180 Southern Alamance HS, NC-low to mid 90;s sinker slider guy. Smart, high baseball IQ and a great work ethic. Asking 1.9. Last 2 guys were ones on our board as well, guys we considered. Now we wait 32 picks, and hope there’s another arm there. Pearson, Simons and Chambers, 1 of those (though Chambers is the kid we love) would be HUGE if still available. Pearson went with the 11th pick To Michigan. HA! Simons went 12th to New Hampshire. Chambers went 19th to Brooklyn. Couple big arms left. Ron Cochran is a 98-100 guy, Lloyd Cole is a younger high risk high reward arm. Cochran went 21st to Tulsa. Our 2nd pick arrives. Cole is still on the board, but the scouts are recommending 22 year old 6’7” closer Francisco Rodriguez out of USC. We are waiting on the relievers. The other option they are recommending is Jose Carrillo, a 23 year old C/1B out of FSU. 2nd Round (42nd overall) Lloyd Cole 18 (SP) L/L 6’2” 180 Caney Valley HS, KS-89-90 3 pitch sinker slider lefty. Durable as hell. A 3 if he does well, could surprise and be a 2 if he can get some velocity. 2nd Round (44th overall) Francisco Rodriguez 22 (CL) 6’7” 235 USC-Upper 90’s FB slider monster. Durable, loves the game. 4th Round (111th overall) Bill Jacobs 18 (UTIL) L/R 5’9” 155 Kincaid HS, TX-Super utility guy, 2B, SS, 3B and Center and Right. ++ Speed, OBP guy with a little pop. 4th Round (129th overall) Will Brocklebank 20 (C) R/R 6’ 195 Rutgers-Potential every day catcher, well above average runner, decent pop and good eye. 8) Jose Hernandez 18 (1B) R/R 6’2” 210 Sheldon HS, CA 9) Jim McGuire 19 (SP) L/L 6’4” 200 North Salem HS, OR 10) Raul Tobias 18 (IF) R/R 6’ 175 Christian HS, MI 11) Lee Pollock 19 (SP) L/R 5’10” Long Beach State 12) Brett Willis 18 (IF) R/R 6’ 165 Carver A&T HS, MD 13) Roy Woods 21 (SP) R/R 6’3” Sam Houston State 14) Pete Sims 19 (OF) R/R 6’2” 185 Messalonskee, ME 15) Aaron Williams 18 (SP) 6’4” 195 Alhambra HS, CA 16) Tim Dunn 21 (OF) 6’2” 200 Stanford 17) Lorenzo Flores 20 (SP) 6’3” Ohio Wesleyan, OH 18) Ken Holland 22 (OF) 6’2” Southern U, LA 19) Domingo Romero 18 (SP) 6’2” Anderson County HS, KY 20) Fernando Estrada 21 (OF) 6’2” UCLA

Most importantly though you need to find the way you enjoy the game, and play it that way.

I've acquired 24 year old backstop Matt Edwards for DH Roberto Sanchez, OF Paco Montes and C Martin Ramirez. Additionally I sent our 6th round pick to the Colts for their 2nd rounder in tomorrows draft. This is a pretty huge trade. Sending our leading power hitter (who hit 2 HR's about an hour before we dealt him) and our starting catcher, and a decent power hitting OF away. Edwards is the 1st solid piece of the 'up the middle' core I need. He's an outstanding defensive catcher, with huge power, and an amazing awareness of the strike zone. In a perfect world he hit's .260+ with 30+ HR's and gets on at a .400 clip. He's just 24 and has only 44 days of IBL service time. He's a switch hitter, which is awesome, but he's insanely dominant from the left side. He'll platoon against tougher lefties, but he's the guy for us to move forward with, behind the plate. We also get a huge bonus in that 2nd round pick as well. We are picking 2nd overall (Behind Baltimore) and now picking 1st and 3rd in the 2nd round (so 2,42 and 44). In the first 4 rounds now, we have picks 2, 42, 44, 111, 129. We have no 5th 6th or 7th round pick. The corresponding moves: OF Babar Abbas is recalled, Edwards is put on the 40 man and recalled, and 25 year old Will Allison is taken out of the Eagan rotation and called up to pitch out of the pen. 6/14 ALK 4 GB 2 W-Rubio (6-6) L-Montgomery (7-2) S-Wheeler (21) HR GB-Rolen (12) ALK-McBryde (7) Rubio 8-6-1-1-2-9 (W) Montgomery 8-6-4-4-3-4 (L) McBryde 3R HR in the 8th breaks 1-1 tie. 6/15 ALK 8 GB 3 W-Santos (6-4) L-Althusser (5-5) HR GB-Berkman (10) Wagner (4) ALK-Edwards (4) Abbas 2 (2) Santos 6-5-1-1-2-3 (W) Ledezma 3-4 2B (16) 2 RBI's (26) Abbas 3-3 2 HR's 4 runs 3 RBI's (5) SB (3) DRAFT NEWS-42nd and 111th picks, Lloyd Cole and Bill Jacobs agreed to terms on draft day, and have reported to rookie ball. WEEK 11 SUMMARY FL POTW-Roberto Cruz (CHI) 13-26 4 HR's 13 RBI's (.298-8-44) CL POTW-Dudley Williams (SAN) 14-27 4 HR's 14 RBI's (.301-14-59) WEEK 11 POWER RANKINGS 1) Fresno (1) 2) Chicago (2) 3) West Michigan (3) 4) Columbus (-) 5) Alaska (5) OUT Corpus Christi (6) LEAGUE NEWS Pretty much every player in the IBL went on the DL this week, or so it seems. Some huge injuries in there, and some outstanding performances.
