Minor leagues DH or not

Haven´t this issue been brought up ???

I´m sure, but I have not found anything, but perhaps a bit lazy.

What I understand the minor leagues have this special rule about DH.
If the home team in a MILB game has it´s MLB team in the National League, then the game will be played with NO Designated Hitter.
If however the home team in the MILB game is an American League affiliate then the DH will be used.

This is what I can see not possible to make in OOTP, or am I wrong.

Could it not even be easily handled with pgm-code. I think so...

Whats the issue on this ???

It's actually more complicated than that. Lower level minor leagues are entirely DH-only. At higher levels, pitchers hit when both teams are NL affiliates and both teams agree to forgo the DH.

Personally I like getting my young hitters the extra AB's, I dont mind playing without the DH for ML leagues, but I like having it in there for minors

Agreed. I have all if my minors up to AA with DH. AAA and majors have no DH. My thinking is getting ABs for batters who otherwise wouldn't have a spot in the starting lineup.

Don't you love this game. Choices abound. I have no DH in the minor leagues due to the long time issue of the AI using the second catcher at DH. I keep the DH in MLB AL.

I have no proof but another reason not to have DH in the minors is to discourage development of bad fielding good hitters. I may lose a few prospects that way but... ... ...
