Trojan Horse Alert with Avast!
I got home tonight and double clicked on OOTP 13 and suddenly my AVAST Anti-virus starts screaming that the ootp.exe file is a trojan horse and moved it to the virus chest. I tried to access a backup from my backup harddrive and immediately this .exe was sent to the chest. I even downloaded the game fresh and while installing it, AVAST said it was infected. Is this a similar problem from a few years back with the antivirus program?

Did this just start for you today? I had no problem until today. Maybe Avast updated their definitions and it is not conflicting with the game?

Have you tried shutting off or creating an exception? Or just waiting and seeing at this point? Glad to hear it is an issue on the Avast's end.

Oh jeeze, same issue here. Imagine my horror when I got on my machine this morning, went to start up OOTP13 and it was gone.
Sometime last night Avast did not like OOTP13 and virus chested it. Freeeeaaak out ... I was able to restore it, though.

I always put my games folders into the antivirus's exception list. You don't need your AV scanning every file every time a game accesses them.

Can the mods merge these two parallel threads?

Then do what is mentioned above: go into Avast settings and have it exclude searching in your OOTP folders.

Yea it just deleted my exe file itself. I had one backed up though so just had to run that and update.
