what exactly happens when you select quickplay "half inning?"

I dont get the "Half Inning" option on the quick play. If I select "inning 5" it seems the AI manager takes over until the fifth. But if I select "Half Inning" the AI does nothing. I had the AI leave AJ Burnett in to rack up 8 runs and 127 pitches during a half inning with a fully rested bullpen. i dont see the value f the option if the game will not do anything other than hit "1" over and over again. Am I missing something?

You're confusing something, I think. The half-inning option, like play to inning 5, is in terms of game time, not control, which is set in the game options. Who was in charge of substitutions during these times?

Thats what I mean.... it seems like the AI is handed off control when its multi inning simming because there have been pitching subs and lineup changes. but the sim half Inning option or even sim Inning get no such AI help

My experience is that unless you have the AI handling substitutions the AI will grind the pitcher until injury takes them out.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.
