Nicknames in historical replays

I am using OOTP14 doing a historical sim. Started in 1901 and am currently at 1910 but I have not seen ANY nicknames show up for players yet.

Is this common? Is there a setting I need to adjust to get nicknames or a file i need to download?

Nicknames are not included in the default database, you need to download the Spritz/Gambo database or one of the other modded databases to get the nicknames or add them yourself.

I am kind of curious about this too. Must be something with the database. I remember with early versions of the game almost every player importing with a nickname in the early 1900's.

In OOTP13 I was using the Spritz/Gambo database and didn't have nicknames showing up.

OOTP13 and OOTP14 don't seem to have nicknames enabled at all (well, at least for historical replay). Was this intentional?

The nicknames are right there in the Master.csv file that comes with the game. The problem, it would appear, is that they are not loading correctly, or at all.
