I just had one of the worst seasons I've ever had in OOTP. MLB quickstart playing as the Twins. We end up finishing 2013 with a 62-100 record which is obviously horrible. I traded Willingham, Morneau, and Doumit for prospects in July once it's painfully obvious we're out of contention but comfort myself by softly repeating "At least you've still got Mauer."..... then Mauer goes down in August for 2 - 3 months. Finally the offseason comes (Nats beat the A's 4-1 if you're interested) and Golden Glove winners are announced. Yay! Joe Mauer won at catcher! Click to move on to the next day "Joe Mauer has had a setback and his career is likely over."

........#$%.

Note to self: Princess Kenny was really off-putting.

OUCH! That hurts! Couldn't find anyone to take his huge contract in July, huh?

Kept Joe. Sentimental value as a Twins fan. Not smart in retrospect.

In my world, the owner of the expansion Rockies will never see his team play a game, as he passed away a little over 2 weeks shy of opening day

Working on a new world of baseball type deal. Setting up leagues in nations rated better than fair when I explored my world. Once they are all individually set up, going to start one big league and see how it works.

After a test run of the Excellent rated countries (US, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Canada, Mexico, Japan and Dominican Republice), I have some financial issues to work out but it works rather nicely after two quick sim seasons.

Setting up different financials based loosely on the advancement of the country, also gonna try to figure out the best way to differentiate between the excellent, good, average, fair, etc ratings when it comes to creating players.

Wont be like the other World style leagues, since setting each up as individual template, will be able to mix and match as I want. Will end up with some 38 countries with ML only for the set up, makes it easier to complete the leagues and keep my computer functioning.

Once its done, might even do some type of dynasty report.

All leagues are fictional with fictional players but am considering random debut in the US League.

All this gave me a lot to work off of. Finally put my universe together and I'm liking it a lot so far.

How did you set up this World Cup league?

What's your baseball world like?

I run a fictional 16 team using a Canadian league and an American League. Scouts on but coaches not, 162 game schedule

just now saw this, hadn't played OOTP in a while. here is the thread: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...orld-cups.html

I am about to play the 3rd World Cup (doing them every 3 years). had qualifying last time as I expanded my World of Baseball, this time will have even more qualifying. Japan back-to-back titles has shocked everyone
