Parent club logo

I could have sworn this was not like this earlier, but now I seem to have for minor league affiliates the logo of the parent club is behind the minor league club's logo.

It is a pretty silly thing to have because first off, it looks ridiculous, 2nd of all, cant see the affiliate club.

Someone complained about the other way and it was changed....personally I'd like the parent club's logo out of the picture altogether.....

I've not had a good chance to get into the game because i'm on holiday right now, but you've pointed this out and it looks ridiculous. There's been a number of things that i've seen that make the look of the game poor.

That logo looks so out of place, at least have it transparent.

I wonder at time who the "art" guys were and if they looked at things and said "Yeah, this looks good".

Yeah, it either needs removed altogether or moved to the far right of the team name.

Yes, one of the Beta testers requested Markus to change the default location of the parent logo to behind the child logo. I, on the other hand, did try to lobby Markus into using the very idea that MizzouRah said. I even made a mock-up so Markus could see for himself what it would look like in the game but to no avail.

Here's that mock-up I made. Yes, it makes a lot more sense to place the parent logo in that location.

Maybe the way it was had the parent club logo too big. I personally don't think so, I think it was fine the way it was, and I like seeing the parent club's logo there. But now, the feature has gone from something I liked to something I would rather have out of the game than as implemented. Having a smaller logo sit behind a bigger logo is something thing even a first year art student would know is a big no-no.

And I will take MizzouRah's and Bowtie's alternative to this anyday. Times like this I wish I was still on the beta team and I could try and stop this sort of thing before it gets too far.

Yeah, after a review of my own league pics, I'm going to have to get on board with this change. I like the mockup. Players are always going to obscure part of their team's logo, unless they're extremely minimized which sort of misses the point of having one, and in many cases where the logos are relatively equal, it gives the player a Mickey Mouse type of outline above his cap. The latter being the reason I replaced the OOTP round logo in the back of free agents with something more subtle.

Now that you guys have slammed me so hard it'll take a month to get up...I agree with Galen...and I love his mockup...when the idea was first suggested, his Idea was included, but I guess Markus figured it was easier to move it behind..I could of cared less where it went, I just hated it covering up my minors logos.

It works well when a team has a smaller logo, pictured here. Your mock is great, although I would prefer it to the FAR right like below.

Where is that logo stored? I would like to remove it all together for FA.

Only if the colors aren't clashing.....no matter where you put the parent logo in the same frame with the minor league logo, it ends up looking like crap 9 times out of 10......

I believe it's here (you've got to go through that "delete skin.bin" routine):

Let me join the bandwagon for a bit. Logos are a big part of this game so jumbling, crowding, or obscuring them is generally a bad idea. I like Bowtie's and MizzouRah's suggestions and I would like to point out that there is considerable "open screen" space where secondary logos could be moved (given the need, I know, for allowing for lower screen resolutions like 1024 x 768):

I had thought about messing with the skins in OOTP 14 because I wanted to re-introduce the white sort of halo background that sat where the logos go back in v13, seems very useful, another thing that was removed.

I do not want the parent club logos on any affiliate screens. A simple abbreviation is enough. The parent club logos should be optional, and I asked for as much at least a year ago or more. But I guess no one bothered to look into it unless I'm missing something in the game settings.

Although I'm a logo junkie, I agree with this.
