Manager history...playoffs

I've noticed this since iOOTP 12 as well and maybe I'm mistaken but if you make it to the wildcard round, shouldn't your manager history reflect that by saying made playoffs? I've taken the Padres to two straight wildcard berths but in manager history only the year I made it past that round did it show I made the playoffs. Am I incorrect on this or is this something Sebastian can chime in on?

It doesn't seem to count the Wildcard play in game as "the playoffs". It should, maybe that got left out in the translation to the new playoff system.

Ok, so at least I know it's not just me lol. I guess I never reallly caught it before was because I seem to always lose the wildcard game, get frustrated, and start a new season haha. It does clearly show when you're in the wildcard round on the standings page and everything else seems right. It just doesn't seem to record it properly, almost like the game thinks you're playing a tie-breaker to get into the playoffs.

I'm still looking for an answer to this question, maybe it can't be fixed though idk....?

If it's a "play in" game, to me you are playing that game to get into the playoffs. If you lose that game you didn't get in. While I don't know if MLB considers it part of the playoffs, it would be the only reason I can come up with that would make iOOTP not have it being considered as making the playoffs.

I just thought it was still a wildcard round and those have always counted as playoff game haven't they?
