Game skins poor use of space.

This may have been spoken about, hopefully its something that can get looked into as not everyone is using large monitors.

Little things like this happen all over the game and it can become slightly irritating. Not sure how easy or difficult it would be to make the skin realise that there is far too much on the display and for it to use a scroll bar to make the over all look of the screen less sloppy.

I've been seeing this since OOTP11 and have ignored it. Maybe I too should have said something.

I'll second this. It's been going on for awhile but I've always just lived with it because it seemed minor and cosmetic, but it would be nice to have it fixed. Especially since I sometimes write very long game write-ups (for playoff games, for example) that I also post to the league news, so the text not only goes under the player graphic card but completely off the bottom of the screen!

Its hardly a game breaker but it makes a very professional product look sloppy. On the higer resolutions this isnt a problem but there are many out there, like me, who use a laptop as my main computer and cant use a high resolution.

I'm on a laptop with a 17" screen. No problems at all.

Anything above 1280x800 should be fine. Its that or below that causes problems like above.

Even the 1280x800 res causes problems on a Mac as the Dock covers the bottom of the game screen. I'd love to see the game use the Mac's full screen feature.

I have a newer laptop now, but my previous laptop had a max resolution of 1024x768 and I did not encounter the problems you described while running OOTP 12 or 13.

I assume it is only certain setups that run into this issue since there are 100s (1000s?) of different hardware and software configurations.

Hopefully there is a way to correct the issue for those seeing it, but I imagine it can't be easy to do so since the issues continue to endure.

Oh, all my laptops use Windows. Don't know if that makes a difference or not.

Mine is Windows 7, 1366x768, and I have definitely experienced this issue with the player graphic overlapping the news story. Interesting to read that some with 1024x768 haven't had the problem - kind of a head scratcher there.

I'm in the same resolution laptop and do see it occasionally, too. It has to do with the length of the story and, of course, the resolution. If you really want to 'read' the story, you can always click on the Facebook button and whether you have a Facebook account or not, it will open a browser and display the text without the picture. There are times, it won't display ALL the text either, but those are rare, like long development reports, etc... but for the short term, probably unfixable resolutions, the Facebook option works well.

I should add that Deja Bru first introduced me to this idea, as once you've done it, you can often copy paste portions of the article and input it directly into your player's history. Found it pretty cool to do and add to the personalization / immersion of the player history.
