Oh My - Don't you hate it when

As a pitcher, don't ya just hate to lose a game like this?

Poor Mr. Rafuse - gives up only 1 hit, but it's a home run and happens to be the only run of the game.

Had one myself last night, playing out the game we won 2-1 with only 2 hits (both HRs) while the opposition managed around 10-12 hits.

Great defense and opportune hitting goes a long way to a win.

Similar thing happened to me the game following reading your post. Wasn't the games only hit but it hurt just as much.

I was trying to manufacture a run so I pinch hit for my pitcher, to no avail.

So my new pitcher comes in and the first batter he faces jacks one 373 feet over the RF fence.

I was feeling good about my managing skills too since they opened the bottom of the 4th with a triple and failed to bring the run home.

Yup. Happened last night against the divisional rival. Number three starter gave up one hit (HR) over eight innings and the team went down to defeat 1-0. Worse yet, it came off the bat of the punch and judy eighth place hitter who has a combined 15 round trippers in five seasons. Even worse, we had ten hits and could push a run across.

Smoked them 8-2 the following day so I'm back off the medication again.
