Travel?

Hi,

Pretty new to these forums, but I browse through them fairly regularly. I've had the mobile versions of the game before, but this is the first season I've taken the plunge and bought the "full" version for the mac. Anyhow, preface over!!

After tinkering around with some MLB quickstart games to get a grip of things, I plan to start a fictional league. Most likely its going to be a World Super League I think.

My question, and I've searched around a lot on here and I can't find an answer, is does travel have any effects at all? If I get my players to play in say, LA on a Monday, London on a Wednesday, and Tokyo on a Sunday, will they just die from jet lag? Or does the game just do away with any travelling effects like fatigue and jet lag, and its almost like they teleport from location to location?

Many thanks, as I may well alter my plans for the sort of fictional league I dive into if I need to consider travel!

Thanks!

I don't think that travel or the distances involved have ever been a factor in OOTP. I run a West-coast based team, and when I generate my schedule for each season I may have a Thursday night game at home followed by a Friday game on the east coast and have never noticed any dropoffs in performance.

I do like to adjust my game starting times to accommodate travel, even if it's just for my own realism-obsessed needs.

I'm not aware of travel having any affect in game though that might be a interesting option. Would add a whole new level to putting together a league but then scheduling would have to get a lot more love in the game.

Thanks for the input guys. I couldn't find anything about it on here, and there was nothing in the manual or when I've poked around the various customisation options so I presumed that it wouldn't be a factor. Always good to check tho
