Who plays 13 and still plays 11 or 12?

I find myself still playing leagues in both versions 11 and 12 as well as 13.

My question: other than the pain of abandoning a league, is there any reason to continue in the old versions? Is 13 so much better than 12 that you would run three leagues all on 13 (say, the current season, a fantasy league, and an historical league?).

Trading is still the game's greatest pleasure for me, and I have not yet discovered whether 13 has made trading significantly harder than it is in 12. IIRC the developers said that trading in 12 was to be more of a challenge than in 11.

I'm assuming this should be in the OOTP 13 area, and not iOOTP.

I wanted to chime in, however, that:

is not necessarily true.

Leagues are compatible from version to version. Any OOTP 11 or 12 games should work fine in 13, or 14 for that matter.

I still play iOOTP 2012 as well as 2013 ... but that's just because my laptop is dead .... so I haven't been able to move the 2012 saved games on to 2013.

transferring from 11 to 12 to 13

IIRC, I can easily transfer purchased historical season data bases from iOOTP 11 to 12, and some day soon an update will allow us to transfer those from 12 to 13, right? I'll search the threads to see how to transfer actual leagues that we have started . . . .

. . . I'll do that, unless someone here has a great reason to keep playing in an older version. The main reason to drop 11 that occurs to me now, before my morning coffee, is that 11 lacks the green ready arrows for minor leaguers and has a too easy trading system. I know there were other improvements in 12, of course.
