The next iteration of OOTP will be a decade of wanting this feature for me. Please, oh please give us fictional players promotion/relegation leagues.

Could always introduce an option that for promotion/relegation leagues there are no minor league affiliations with only reserve rosters allowed.

This would make things significantly less messy and allow for football/soccer style leagues which is what most want with promotion/relegation functionality.

Promotion/Relegation is definitely something to think about. The first online league I joined was promotion/relegation and I loved it. It's very exciting and competitive.

I would keep one minor league affiliation per team and then just organize the minor leagues like the majors. If a major league team relegates, so does the minor league team.

What could WE the consumer of OOTP and the fans of a promotion/relegation formats do to see it put into the next game? I'm willing to work on layout/planning or whatever it takes to make this happen. Supposedly somebody (no recollection of who it was) has the layout and format of how this would be structured all laid out - is that all this takes from our end?

This exactly . . . you don't need minor league affiliates if you have promotion and relegation. Promotion doesn't work if Pittsburgh's AAA team is promoted when the Pirates are relegated, for example.

It would be great if logic could be added to allow teams to loan players out. But it wouldn't be mandatory, and I could see that being a lot of work to do from scratch. But that would completely remove any need for affiliates.
