Free agent draft question
I recently tried my first free agent draft during the 2nd month of my current season. I set it for 10 rounds and have 40 teams in the league. There were at least 600 free agents.
However, 35 out of the 40 teams drafted no one each round. Is this by design or is it a bug? Thanks! |

There's a lot of variables involved here. Offhand I'd say it sounds about right. 600 players isn't that many to distribute among 40 teams especially considering that FA's tend to be of lower quality than players already on the rosters. I wouldn't expect teams to take guys just for the sake of taking them, after all, they have to pay them if they do. So unless they thought the fa's available were improvements... Hey thanks for the reply! Here is a little more information:
1.) 20 out of 40 teams were well below the salary cap (50%) 2.) there were at least 100 free agents rated 50-70 on a scale of 80. 3.) many teams kept players with lower ratings 4.) all rosters had 25 out of 25 players 5.) I play unlimited minor roster limit and veterans cannot refuse to be sent down 6.) I play with no injuries enabled I think you are correct that there are so many variables that it is difficult to pinpoint the reason. Maybe like u suggested roster limits may play a large role. What is strange is the after I simmed two more months, most of the highly rated players got signed. What changed so much in those two months?! Thanks again for ur input! |
