Strange time for a Pinch Hitter

I know facing Ivan Nova can be a scary prospect but having a pinch hitter for the first batter seems a little strange, has anyone else seen this type of behavior? Trevor apparently has sore knees but i would think the manager would scratch him from the line up card, not pinch hit for him 10 minutes later.

I've seen that sometimes with an injured player. I don't know what the game is doing when it happens.

Might want to edit your initial post so that wall of text isn't there.

I have been at a RL game where the 1st batter was PH for. I'll see if I can find the box score at BR.

Yeah, editing the 1st post may be a good idea. It's a long scroll.

The player was almost certainly injured. This happen when a guy is injured but the AI is waiting to see what the injury is. The player stays in the line up but is subbed for immediately.
