Bizarre 13 issue: Mac says it can't be opened, should move to trash

Just downloaded 13 again. Copied it to Applications folder. Tried to run it, and I get: OOTP Baseball 13 can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash.

What gives? A fresh OOTP 13 download, just dragged into the Applications folder.

Running OS 10.8.3. Anyone seen this?

I am having the exact same problem as i try to import my OOTP 12 game into 13 to then import to 14. I need an answer.

FYI I'm also running 10.8.3 on a mac.

I sent in a support ticket and got a response from Gary about 2 days ago.

Hi Sean,

Sorry for the wait. Andreas (one of the developers) is aware of this problem and I'm hopeful this will be fixed real soon. I'll send him a reminder right now and see what the status is. I'll update you when I find out more.

One workaround would be to install the OOTP 13 demo on a PC and then import that into OOTP 14 on your Mac, assuming you have access to a PC?

Still no response.

Also, this workaround doesn't help me. I have OOTP 12 on a Mac.

Yeah, no go here. Same "cannot be opened. You should move it to the trash" error.

Ugh. That's really weird. It did work for me and we are running the same OS and had the same issue. I was able to transfer my game over.

I would suggest contacting OOTP support, but they'll probably lead you right back to this.
