When's the best time to import a 13 league?

Right after World Series? Right after free agents file? Or does it not matter?

i guess personally, i would do it january 1st. that way you'll start the year fresh with the new options and what-have-you. but i spose there will be a few transactions between november and december that you might want on the new system?

Anytime you please. New features take effect regardless if it's before or after Jan 1.

Just remember to make back-ups before and after.

When do you personally (if you ever do) import a league?

Soon as I have the new version, where ever I am in my season. Done that forever and never had a problem.

Now I know lots of people do, and plenty don't have problems, which is why I always make a couple of back-up copies first. Just luck of the draw for me I guess.

If you're collecting personal preferences, I like somewhere near the first of the year. It gives me time to review settings as I approach pre-season, as some areas can only be changed then.

I usually would do first of the year, but this year I said the hell with it and converted in August. Worked like a charm

I've been doing it right after the World Series before. I just prefer to get all the changes in before free agency. That way I can see my team with the new features and make my evaluations and decisions after I import.

I imported the day after the season ended. Seemed to go fine and I had the whole offseason with the new game.
