Regarding the League setup option "Overall ratings based on all players not just positions"
OK, I read the manual help so I understand what it is. What I'm wondering is, which option is better for a fairly newbie OOTP player? For instance, suppose my prospect is qualified for several positions. Do I have to change his default position on his player page to see what his ratings will be at each position? Would I just be better off going with the option to base overall ratings on all players? I'm a bit confused on this, any help would be appreciated. |

I leave that off. If I want to see how he'd be at other positions, I find it easier to just change his position from the player profile then change it back.

This opens a can of worms for me, personally, but suffice to say that checking the based on positions option is usually the easiest to navigate. I say this because it's the clearest option available and relies on the position you have your player set to as well as the ones set by the AI. And the easiest way to examine multiple positions is simply to use your Action button and change his position. You'll notice, often, his overall or potential rating will change accordingly to assist you in your decision making.
