in a fictional League I create 16 team major league and then add 5 levels of minor leagues
How do you go about affiliating the minor teams with the parent team
When you create the league and add the minors it populates the league with fictional teams so when you go in and start changing the names to what you want how can you make sure that the major team will get matched with the correct minor team

Go to Setup & Options under Game, then click League Setup then click Names and Affiliations. On the right above the Awards Names Setup, you'll see a dropdown menu that allows to select different leagues. Select the league you want, then go back to the teams on the left. You 'll see Affiliation dropdown menus by each team on the right.
