Player nationality question

I took an idea from Markus and was looking to make my universe's player nationalities all be 100% random. I put a check mark next to every nation and set the random nationality to 100% but everyone seems to be from the country Aland.

Any suggestions?

send a screenshot of the checkmarks with % by them. I would think you'd want no check marks and there is a box for random origin you should set at 100%

Sorry on my phone right now but will post when I get back.

Now I tried unchecking all the boxes. That seems to work except for all the countries you would think are represented yet there is NO ONE from the United States when setting it to 100 percent random.

Man I can't figure this out. All I am looking to do is create a league where the nationalities of players are 100 percent random.

If I check every nation but set it to 0 percent and set it to 100 percent random every player ends up from the same country.

If I un-check every nation and put it to 100 percent random it looks much better but it doesn't include anyone from the United States.

Any ideas on what's up?

I am assuming it is like the old days where the 100% means 100% foreign. try setting your home nation to some tiny nation like Faroe or Palau or something that you don't mind there being zero players from and try it again. I don't think home nation effects much besides player origin

let me know the breakdown as well, is it mainly 5-star baseball qualities like Dominican Republic or is it population centers like China

Well I got it to give me a pretty good random selection of players by selecting every nation but only problem is it creates about 6 times the number of players I need in a universe for some reason. Normally when I create a normal league there is 950 or so players. Using this method it creates 6100 or so. Just can't seem to get this right.

each time you try something new are you starting a new game or are you just deleting your players and then filling teams with fictional players again?

the game always fills the rosters exactly for me, never creates free agents.

Creating a new game using fictional players and using an inaugural draft.

I've always simply filled the rosters and edited in-game after I've started so can't help you much there. have you tried setting the league in Palau/somewhere else tiny and using 100% random?

Ignore that last few posts. Now that I went back and looked at OOTP 13 it's right around the same amount of players created. Lack of sleep sorry lol.

Now that I got this working I'm looking at the break down it really is all over the board but nations who are better at baseball are more represented than a no-star nation but really there is a great mix.
