Frustration with Minor League System Report
In OOTP 14 (or a subsequent patch), since Scouting is apparently being re-worked, would it be possible to have the scout's recommendations for promotions/demotions not be wiped out when the next preseason starts? Somehow I doubt that an organization trashes their recommendations on certain prospects at the start of each new season.
I know it's no substitute for stats, then scouted ratings, but the "Ready for AA" ratings are a third pillar of my prospect evaluation process, and it's frustrating when I forget to make my offseason promotion/demotion decisions before those recommendations get reset every preseason. |

Frustration with Minor League System Report
I use the notepad often but before it was implemented I took screenshots of the game and saved them to a folder on my desktop called 'Notepad' with sub folders of 'wants new contract', 'call ups', etc.
A screenshot with all the recommendations might be an easier workaround.

There are definitely workarounds, and it's on me for not making all promotions/demotions prior to the start of the preseason, but the underlying issue of the recommendations vanishing for no logical reason still remains. A workaround shouldn't be required, unless there is some logic for why the recommendations would vanish on a specific date.

Everything to do with scouting reports and player promotion/demotion decisions should get kept for all eternity. Teams mothball their old reports, not throw them out. If you ask went down to the Orioles' offices and started grabbing everything they had related to Rick Ankiel, I'm willing to bet you'd find scouting reports going back to when the guy was still a pitching prospect if you dug through the files far enough back.
