Minnesota seems to be just as popular as New York! What's up with that?

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

Could be the winters and a bunch of hibernating baseball fans. Could be that OOTP is the quickest way for the Twins to avoid 90+ losses get back to the playoffs.

I would love to go but it is just to far. As a midwesterner I wish the OOTP team would consider Chicago (7 hr drive for me) or Minneapolis (3 hr drive) for one of these trips. Chi-town and Wrigley are a great trip and Target Field in Minneapolis is also a great place to see a game.

I know there are a lot of midwestern players that would make it to one of these venues. Hope you will think of expanding these trips in the future to other areas to give your fans a chance to meet "the team".

Interesting gathering.....I see there's the American Retro Bar & Grill on 11th Ave / 51st St that has space for parties/events......I have not been there, but could do some recognizance if needed.......

To make you feel at home, we also have a German place, Hallo Berlin, with a small outdoor area on 10th Ave / 44th St.....and many bars/restaurants on 9th Ave....I guess it depends the size of the crowd you draw and if Rammstein is opening for you

I live on the west coast. I,ve been thinking of going to New York (for a visit for years) and its a perfect time there for ballgames, innit? I ,ll look into thiis tonight. I went to an APBA function over thirty years ago that was a great time and just filled, lol, with baseball-knowledgeable people, my favorite folks to spend time with.

I'm a Twins fan, been one all my long life, but I'm just not too optimistic about this year. Maybe in a couple years when all the prospects are in the majors. I'm hoping that OOTP 14 will have those prospects rated properly high so that the Twins are back in the World Series in a couple/few years.

An update: We're hoping to offer appetizers, and we'll likely spring for one drink per person. Right now, we have 29 people who have RSVPd at the meet-up, so please RSVP if you haven't done so already. Thanks.

Hi All:

We've chosen a location for the Meet-Up:

The Mean Fiddler, on 47th St. between Broadway and 8th Ave.

The Mean Fiddler - Karaoke Bars, Karaoke New York, Hockey Bar, Hockey Bar In Manhattan - The Mean Fiddler NYC - Home

If you're going to attend but haven't RSVPd yet, please do so as soon as you can, so we have an accurate headcount.

OOTP and FHM Meet-and-Greet on May 31, 2013 (New York, NY) - Meetup

Food will consist of appetizer-type fare. We'll pay for one drink per person and will give out drink tickets at the door.

Please check in with me, Brad Cook, when you arrive. I will have name tags for everyone to fill out, and I'll be wearing one too, so you'll know who I am.

Thanks. Please get in touch with any questions.

- Brad

As Sweed says, next time you guys should think of coming to Chicago. That's a distance I could negotiate.

Well, since the bulk of the team is in Germany, this is the kind of thing that doesn't happen every often. I'm in CA, if you're curious.

Long term, I would love to have enough budget to set up events at various cities around the country in the Feb.-March timeframe and show off the latest version of the game. I could probably book a conference room in a Holiday Inn and hopefully have the guys in Germany on Skype in the morning, followed by a chance to play around with the new version.

But that's something that would have to wait until we hit a certain sales plateau. I imagine it will be a few years before we could embark on that kind of thing, but I would love to do it.
