I was fine with it for a while. Now, though, I am running into problems.

I don't want to start a new league in OOTPB 13 with 14 due out soon.
But I miss the game already!
That means, as soon as 14 debuts, I will be thrust into the vanguard of early-version-cycle pioneers who will suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous bugs!
What if it comes with a garish pink skin?
What if they have the voice of Joe Morgan doing play-by-play?
What if the first seven batters in my first game all hit ITP home runs?
What if ogres and trolls have been introduced in FaceGen?
What if they PROHIBIT THE YANKEES?!?

Oh Millennium League, why did you have to die so young?

Heh, I knew that would get some other guys too, based on what I have read over the years here. Just imagine that voice-over, and Markus neglecting to make it optional!

See, this is the type of anxiety that I am dealing with. Instead of waiting for the hue and cry to build to crescendo, and the subsequent insta-patch that would either swap out Morgan for McCarver (better?) or provide a mute button, I'm going to have to experience such things as part of the first wave of version adopters!

It would be a nightmare. Not the subject, bad enough as it is. No, the color scheme. The COLORS. BEHOLD.

Now, what if what Markus is showing us is in his newsletter is NOT the default? What if below is the default, and that other pleasant skin must be downloaded from Add-Ons Central?

Now, what if . . . Add-Ons Central is down for . . . two weeks . . . for repairs? What then, huh? "Hello Kitty" until we are altogether blind? Huh?

This is the anxiety that I have been pushed into by circumstances that require me to be in the forefront of this new version cycle! Never have I been in this position. I am extremely uncomfortable! Will everything be all right?

How'd you get a copy of the beautiful new default skin? That's only supposed to be for the beta team.

No worries though, the game ships with a second skin if you don't like that one. I've attached a preview:
