Cumulative 2015 Stats, Hitters

Cumulative 2015 Stats,Pitchers

Of the remaining 9 prospects, only 3 are playing full-season baseball. SP Dean Caufield has developed quickly and played well. He seems to have lost the potential he flashed as a 4th Round Draft Pick. 2B Deepak Khabra is having a strong season at AA Rochester. 1B Shaun Cameron, the #39 Prospect in MLB, is playing and developing well at A Jupiter.

2B Deepak Khabra, AA Rochester

Of the remaining prospects, Khabra is closest to the majors, and it has shown in his performance at Rochester. Andrew Friedman thinks Khabra has the talent to be a regular.

Shawn Cameron, A Jupiter

Cameron is playing well. His skill set profiles him as either RF or LF in the big leagues. He's still learning the position. This suggests that Shawn is probably at least two years away from the majors. It would not surprise me if his continued development warrants him a spot as a top-ten prospect next year.

Dean Caufield, SP A Asheville

The scouts project Dean Caufield as a fringe starter in MLB. They report that Caufield has the skill set right now to pitch in AAA. He's holding his own at A ball. For Dean, it's all a matter of finding the right team for his unique skill set.

3B Mike Hegstrand

Mike played well in limited stints at A-Class Lake County. He seems to have lost some shine as a prospect. They do think that Mike will start based on his power alone. He's progressing quicker than many of the other prospects available.

SS Jeffery Lage, Brooklyn Cyclones

Lage's chances at an ML Roster depend mostly on his ability to field Short. If he develops well his power should allow him to make a major league roster. Lage could start a few years but the switch hitter is likely limited to be a journeyman utility infielder.

Damien Rosetto, S A Salem Kaizer

"Dago Red" has a unique set of skills: He's a contact hitter with a +arm that doesn't strike out. He seems to fit the protypical third-catcher mold who can see time as a right-handed substitute. Damien has played well in S A in limited time.

MR Rusty Priske, S A Williamsport

Priske has reinvented himself as a fireman. He's been lights-out with S A Williamsport. This change allows him to rely more on his + sinker and less on his other two pitches.

SP Scott Fields, R Kingsport Mets

Scouts think Scott will either end up as a set-up man or a middle reliever at the big league level. The Mets want to try him as a starter. Fields is playing well as a starter in Rookie League, and depending on who you ask, may start in the majors as well.

Eric Scott Montross, SP R Missoula

Eric has struggled intensely with control. He looks to be a career minor league player. His could make it as a high-velocity, low control reliever in the majors. It looks like this fireballer is destined to top out at AAA. The Diamondbacks have demoted him to R Missoula in an attempt to make "The Montross" a starter.

Starting Sim around 2:00 PM, going through year 2.
Holler at me if you want a trade, last time before 2015 (sim year) ends.
Plan on waiting another week before 2016 (sim year) begins.

Surprised to see Crash make the majors. Guess he was pretty happy about it as well. Just crushing to start things off. Hopefully he can keep up the success...

He's miles ahead of anyone else so far. It looks like he's an All-Star next season. Posting Actual(s) soon...

November 2nd, 2015 (Actuals)
C Crash Davis, Cleveland

Crash is far, far ahead of others on this list. He remains a major power threat. Would be shocked if he doesn't make an all-star team in 2016.

Barry Bums, RF/LF Toronto

Rushing to the majors seems to really nerf players. Such is the case of Barry Bums. He hit around .200 in his rookie season with 19 homeruns. Bums doesn't flash the same potential he did as a minor leaguer. A once sure-fire star is now headed for the waiver wire if he can't turn things around.

1B/3B Timmy Hawk, Chicago

The geniuses in Chicago have been mishandling Hawk. He should have either started in the high minors at third or continued to be tried at Short or Second in the low minors. Instead, The #1 Prospect was sentenced to spend his rookie year riding the pine at the major league level. This clearly has stunted his development though it hasn't hurt his potential.

The White Sox made another gaffe by using Hawk's rookie eligibility up. In 41 Games, Hawk heard his name called just over 70 times. He'll no longer be eligible for rookie of the year. Hawk did spend the entire season in the ML allowing him to reach Arbitration a year early.

2B Deepak Khabra, Minnesota
Nov 2015 Actuals

Deepak continues to put up solid statistics in the high-minors. This time at AA Rochester. Scouts are doubtful about how he'll contribute at the major league level. His fielding, speed and power show continued improvement along with his contributions.

1B/3B Mike "Mullet" Hergstrand, A Carolina Mudcats (Cleveland A)

Mullet's hard work has restored scouts faith in his skills. Most think of Mike as a starter at the major league level. Some predict him to be a star. Mike "Mullet" Hergstrand has a serious chance at cracking the Baseball America's top 100 prospects next season.

SP Dean "Buddy Caufield, A Modesto (Colorado A)

Another solid campaign by Caufield has brought his actuals and potentials up. He's now projected at 11/11/11 with three + pitches. If he continues developing he should cut it as a #4 or #5 starter. Next season will be key in Caufield's development.
