Minor suggestion

I know it's way late for suggestions for ootp14, but maybe this could make it into a patch down the road....

I'd like to see home and away team colors for teams. That way when you play out games the away team could have grey or muted colors. I do it manually when a team goes from home to road, it would be cool if it could be automated.

Could you not do this by using different color codes for home and away uniforms?

This would require twice as many images and hence twice as much space on your drive, a problem for really large leagues. Just saying.

I think there is some confusion here...I want to have home and away colors for the name bar on the in-game screen, not the player pictures.

I understand what you are saying and I just assumed that you would want to change to away uniforms too. If so, you can use the uniform filenames to change the team background color and team text color. I'm not sure it will work since I don't have OOTP 14 yet, but it should.

Yeah...I do it manually as well. I enjoy watching the game with the road grays as background and the teams primary color as the font. Home teams will have the primary color as the background and secondary color as the font. I wouldn't think it would be too hard to program, as it already allows us one choice for team colors.............but what do I know?

What's wrong with how it is? While yes it can be semi annoying if you have teams with the exact same colors but I can not think of a MLB team that has the same colors of another team. Since i tend to play as the White Sox or Cardinals i dont have a problem with both teams having the same colors. In my other 2 leagues I make it a point to make sure no 2 teams share the same colors.

But how often with modern MLB does that happen? I don't want my team in grey and main color when on the road. I want my Black & White, Maroon & Navy Blue, Red & Blue of the 3 teams I play as.

1) Besides spring training, you will not see an MLB game where both home and away wear the same color as their main jersey color.

2) I would assume it would be optional, like just about everything else in this game. Or, if somehow it wasn't optional (which would seem rather unlikely), you could just program your home and away team colors to be the same.

I'm somewhat surprised with your hostile response to the suggestion. I thought it was a rather innocuous idea.

I didn't mean my response to be hostile. If it an be optional then I am all for it, I don't see how they could make it be optional though. I love options.

. I of course agree, even if it were to be added, it should be optional. It should always be played the way you prefer.
