ECHL - multiyear contract demands
I've just started to play with the beta but I'm seeing multi-year contract demands from FA. That just doesn't happen in the ECHL. Once in a blue moon you get a player who signs a 2 year deal (Jamie Ling comes to mind) but it's very rare. Not sure if that's a bug per sea but an unrealistic aspect at least.

On one of the screens - Roster Overview maybe - I saw a tab for protected list. I tried to sim to the end of an ECHL season but it crashed as soon as the finals were over. I'll have to play around some more, had an AI team finish with 2 wins in the first season I simmed. I didn't look at the details but had to be a problem with roster mgmt.
I could see the ECHL logic being difficult. Each team should receive a handful (2-6 players) from their affiliates, some players should re-sign on a 1 year deal and the rest of the roster needs to be completed via free agency. Add in a team's ability to have multiple (or zero) affiliates and that makes the AI roster management that much more difficult. Off topic but scouting seemed very difficult in my first season. I knew my roster needed a d-man but had to scout each available player individually before I had any clue who to offer a contract to. Would have been nice to somehow tell my scouts to scout every available d-man and report back each time you finish a player - or at least que a number of players to each scout to eliminate so many clicks.
