Team HOF / Retire Number

Dont know if it has been suggested, or if its to late to implement, but it would be nice to have a Team Hall of Fame feature and the ability to retire a jersey number.

Maybe have a locker room with a jersey hanging in the locker with the player number and name which you can click on and see his career stats, etc...

I've always thought this would be a great idea since facegen was implemented. Why not use the backs if the jerseys for something, right?

I've noticed over the years that it is NOT too late to suggest or implement something like this at this stage of the development cycle. It's when the newest version has just been released that it is usually too late as the developers go into bug stomping mode from that point on. So, good suggestion and nice timing. Would like to see this, very much.

I'd prefer it be called the Ring of Honor, but I like this idea.

Could add a set of thresholds like for the Hall of Fame, but specific to the team.

Wow, was really expecting a use the search feature its been suggested reply. Lol

Just thought this might add alittle more immersion for some. Not every player is a hall of famer, but seveal players have careers worthy of their teams hall of fame.

Really hope they can get this in the game.

Markus seems really focused on stuff for people who actually play out games and things like this which we have wanted for years never happen. It is sad for me since I hate playing the games out and prefer to sim a month at a time then pour over stats. So these little things like this are pretty big to me. While the big things for the people who play out the games are so small to me.

And vice versa. Truth is in in the eye of the beholder.

Markus seems really focused on grabbing those notions which are practical and interesting (to him), and making them reality. Regardless of which playstyle they represent. The man just wants his game to be as good as it can be, but he also has to balance time/effort vs. the return on the same.

Not sure how team HOF and retired numbers are only important for people who sim big chunks of their season schedule.

I guess it doesn't really matter at this point. I am so fed up with this game and the way it is developed. I have been buying OOTP since 2002 and it used to be great features added every year and now the last few years it is has been small things and things that I could care less about. The features touted as major new features only seem relevant to those that play out the games.

I am just done. Giving my money to EA for SimCity 5 this year instead.
