Perhaps a BNN Top 100 draft eligible prospect list?

How about earlier versions of the draft, which featured a regular and secondary round, January and June drafts? Or the draft-and-follow system which was in place from 1987 through 2006? Lots of thngs from the past which might make for some interesting new challenges from the general manager perspective...

Or the ability to have multiple leagues share a common draft pool without being associated, so that you could have the same draftee with offers from different teams in different leagues.

You'd probably have to force the draft dates to be the same though.

I am all for OP idea as long as this top 100 list isn't an objective list like the BA top 100 prospects and top 20 prospects for each team. Although, if the list was made by BNN, wouldn't it just rank them by the top 100 rated players using the scouting rating? If so, it would be wildly inaccurate. You find 5 star BNN prospects in the 20th round or later.

I've been saying for awhile now that there should only be ONE draft pool from which ALL leagues in that OOTP universe share. What determines whether a given league can draft a particular player is the drafting rules of that league. That's how it is in real life - there is only one worldwide pool of players from which MLB, the Japanese leagues, the Caribbean leagues, etc., draw. What determines whether MLB can draft one of those players is MLB's own rules (e.g. draftees are limited to being from the U.S. and Canada and thus players from elsewhere are ineligible).

That need not be required. Though from a practical point of view, the dates may need to be similar in order for a player drafted in multiple leagues to have sufficient time to weigh the different offers. League rules would also play a role here (e.g. a league with a fixed signing date deadline versus one with no fixed deadline).

That brings up the business of real life having nearly 7 billion free agents again lol.

Anyway, I agree with the idea of having one universe-wide draft pool.
