OOTP background problem

I just purchased OOTP5 tonight and I have found it very difficult to see the graphics on all the screens. The Turner Field background is very prominant for some reason. I compared my screen with the screenshots on the OOTP5 webpage and the difference is that the graphics used to solidify the text isnt there.

The text is very light and I can barely read it. Has anyone had this problem before or does anyone know what I can do to solve this problem?

Go into the OOTP5 folder and open the "game config" file, toggle the 3d setting, close those things and try the game again.

If that doesn't solve it, go to start then run and type dxdiag and hit enter. The direct X utility will open and it will let you know what version of direct X you are have installed. If it is less than v9 go to http://www.microsoft.com download and install v9, reboot your computer and then try the game again.

One of these two things should get things going. Please let me know if you are still having problems after trying both of these.

thanks alot man...A friend of mine helped me out. All I needed to do was toggle the direct x to off. Now I can see!
