Suggestion for OOTP14: An Undo Button.

A lot of times I accidentally release a guy (mouse slips) and I want to undo it, but there appears to be no way. I have bought every ootp version since 2007 and have already pre-ordered OOTP14, which I am incredibly lookinhg forward to.

Anyone think an undo tap could be installed that would undo recent moves or clicks?

Indeed, and an 'undo' button during gameplay would be great when this old man messes up pinch hitting etc...or when the CM messes up doing something or not doing something that a good CM would do/not do. : )

This was an issue I had brought up for several years and it was finally addressed with the "are you sure you wanna do that" button. Granted, it's not an "undo" but it's essentially the same thing - giving you a last chance to correct those mouse slips. Works well for me.

If I remember correctly this involves building a buffer/memory cache between the user input and the main memory files. I think that involves a huge rewrite of how the game functions. I do not think it is going to happen soon.

I would like to see a 'reset to start of season' button.

That's more of a "do over" than an "undo."

When I asked for an 'are you sure' response to 'end the day', the suggestion was mocked and reviled.

Heh. Try speaking out against the imprecise, arbitrary, and capricious nature of sabermetric statistics around here if you really want to be mocked and reviled! "Village idiot" will be among the milder of epithets thrown at you. ()

As opposed to dinosaur stats that don't measure what they are supposed to?

Sabermetric stats are the worst of all stats, besides all the other ones.

I thought 'dinosaur' stats died a long time ago after the science of sabermetrics asteroid?

Sometimes something goes wrong and the stats get really screwed, for instance one season none of my spot starters got any starts. I had each % set based on the quality of the starters. So I shut down OOTP and restarted, worked fine. I save my lg folder after each season just for this type of thing. But it would be easier if i could just reset.
