There is a file in. The skins folder that is a gradient color from green to red. (or red to green, I can't remember). If you change it to all green, the background will be completely solid

got it. thank you. I actually kind of like it. it might be even better if you have the background color the same for each team, and have it match the current theme. i may play around with that.
i love the dark skin, the only problem i have with it is that the darker logos blend in on the drop menus and standings screen. On the other hand, the classic skin looks good with the logos, but the whitish background is too bright. i can't seem to find a place to maybe add just a smidge of darkness. This is what it looks like with the team color .. and what it look like with a constant skin color ...

And I'm sorry to be rude and jump onto somebody else's request but I would be very interested in the same "idiot's guide" on how to do this...

This is where these files reside:
C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 13\data\skins\ootp 13 classic\images Open up your skins folder then open the folder of the current skin in use ie. OOTP Classic, then open the images file and locate the following two files: top_background top_background_left You will need to open these with a program that will enable you to change the color to the solid green... Always make a copy or backup of original files just in case of a screw up... The go back into the current skin folder that you are using and locate the skin.bin file and delete it... Then start up OOTP13 and it will create a new skin.bin file based on your changes to the two files and you should then see a solid background based on the team color selected... Below is a before and after look at the top background file, note the solid green is the after... Last edited by txranger; 05-02-2013 at 12:17 PM. |

because, I did something wrong, the left corner that I copied from your file worked perfectly... but the top_background I tried to create is showing up as all white rather than team colors... Last edited by qcbandits; 01-20-2013 at 12:25 PM. |

Thank you very much for posting those instructions...only one question, where would I find the skin.bin file on a Mac. I've looked in all the folders (and even done a search through Finder) but can't see it.
Any suggestions would be very welcome...because I'm stumped???? |

Sorry to bump this, but does anybody out there know where the SKINS.BIN would be hidden on an IMac?
