Game play

Is it said anywhere exactly how the game play will work in this game? Like for OOTP it's a batter by batter (pitch by pitch even) game play. How will this game be set up? I looked through the Boards but didn't see anything specific.

Thanks!

I believe this member was trying to say (though rudely) that nothing has been announced so there is no need to continue your search. Your speculation is as good as ours. Time will be your friend.

Haha, thanks for both of the responses. I didn't read the first comment as rude at all. Sounds like they are just frustrated with the lack of information put out so far.

I've very anxious to see what this game will look like. I can't imagine how the game play will unfold but I am intrigued. I am very surprised they haven't shown or explained more of how this game will work exactly though, especially if they still plan on putting it out in the next month or two.

I'm pretty sure that a few details about the In-Game mode are somewhere. In short:

- no 2d/3d for version 1 (IF I ever take on the work of a 2d display I want it to look realistic. I don't even like FM's 3d engine, sometimes it is just better to leave things to your imagination ).

- Obviously the game will run in "real-time", you can start/stop and change speed at any time.

- Interesting scenes will be shown with PbP text, not as in EHM/FM as "one line a time" but in a PbP-Textbox like in OOTP.

- In addition you have a rink on the screen showing you various elements as Shots (in every form) with a small flag and on the side you get a more detailed info. Think NHL Gamecenter.

Cheers to the reply Seb and clearing it up. I like having a 3D engine in FM, but its just so buggy and the amount of mistakes you see which just don't happen drive me crazy, imagination is the best

Not at the moment but funny enough that was the very first button Markus looked for when he played out a game.

So yes, I will add such option as soon as possible.

Yes, that's an important one for me. Most of the time i simulate the entire games but when i don't i certainly don't sit and watch the "plays". Some people do and they love it; not me. I like reading the "Highlights/key only" playout in EHM otherwise i simulate to the end of periods speeding.

This might sound like a bizarre and irrelevant question but it matters to me will the game identify female players? Say my wife tends goal on x team, will it identify her as a fine lady?

There will be no woman hockey (for now). I suppose no female players either.

Yes, it will be. You can find it in the recently announced feature list: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...iscussion.html.

No ok with you on that point, If the 3D engine was realistic, that's a great improvement . Of course, not like Fifa Manager for example...
I don't think so that is part of your work, but one day in the futur...

but first, a realistic IA
