Do you think it's a lil too easy to get quality players for draft picks?

Especially a #1 draft pick? Each year I trade away my #1 and/or #2 draft pick for a quality player I want on my team and 9 out of 10 times I get the deal done. I mean a draft pick is just a "chance" the player is going to be good or great but most of the time that quality player you get is a sure thing. Well unless you're HUMAAN and the game cheats and turns that 20 million dollar player into a mud baller. lol

Just saying mostly do you think the AI is a little too lenient on giving away good/great players for draft picks and some slop?

League Options -> AI Options -> Trading Difficulty up to Very Hard & set the Difficulty to Favoring Veterans if you think vets are undervalued

You could also go to Player & Picture Options & up the Talent Change Randomness to make the draft picks even less surefire if you want to emphasize the uncertainty on the draftees

I'm never trying to trade picks for players, I'm generally always trying to go the other way around. There does seem to be quite the premium placed onto 1st round draft picks, which I don't think is inappropriate.

Draft picks, in general, are overvalued. Top 5 draft picks, specifically, are undervalued. I allow draft pick trading, but I no longer allow myself to trade for a top 5 draft pick.

Really though since this game is soooooo unpredictable and inconsistant with the stats and ratings of a player I guess it really doesn't matter. A green lined ratings player could be just a bum and a red bar ratings player could be the star of the show. This is the part that makes it frustrating and not really fun as I'm used to Strat-o-Matic and APBA baseball type play where the player actually does what's on his card and not some random maybe a star and maybe not. I also played Negamco Baseball and Big League Manager Baseball back in the day and they also used cards that gave a more historical outcome. I mean imagine having Babe Ruth on your team and he bats .200 in his prime with 10 hr a year lmao

If you're not having fun, then don't play the game.

If you want to increase the predictability of the game, you can do that, too.

I think that if you took the time to graph the league-wide distribution of individual ratings and the asscociated outputs produced at each of those intervals then you would find out that you are 100% dead wrong.

How do I know? Because I already have. Your argument does not hold weight...mathematically speaking.
