First game?

What is you first game going to consist of?

Mine is going to be in the QMJHL with my hometown team the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. Total rebuild, want to return the franchise to its once great state.

I don't know yet but it will probably be KHL with HC LEV Praha or Czech 2nd minor league with Vsetín (once top Czech team - I will try to return it its former success and glory). Or maybe both of them at the same time.

Modern Day Toronto Maple Leafs. I might take over the Montreal Canadiens at the same time with mostly french players and rebuild that rivalry.

I'm just curious, when you say doubleheader do you mean that a team will play twice on the same day?

I haven't decided yet. It will be modern NHL (that's what I played most of the time in EHM). Most likely it will be either the Avalanche or Predators (my favorite teams) but I'm also considering Toronto, Minnesota, or Edmonton.

With the season finally coming up I'm really feeling the hockey itch, and with FHM still in development I might play one more EHM campaign.

One admission-Four teams-two games-one arena-same day.

The NBA did this mainly from the 1960s through the mid-70s.

GHL has approved expansion team for Hawai(The Islanders)i for season #2. They will be playing many first games of doubleheaders plus neutral site home games on the mainland too ease travel concerns.

Starting with the NHL in 1967 and handling expansion/movements the way I want (ie the Minnesota North Stars still exist so the Wild go elsewhere, the Seals stuck with the Bay Area so the Sharks went elsewhere, etc.) through the modern-era (commissioner mode until 2013) when I'll pick up and play as my beloved Penguins.

The lack of hockey and anticipation for this game have led me to plan out other leagues as well. I'm still contemplating having a fully global league by the time I start actually 'playing'.

Sounds like my plan. You could always make the Sharks a regional team(playing home games in San Jose,San Francisco,Fresno and Sacramento).

It's a tough decision. There's so many historic and modern teams to choose from!

Without a doubt I'll coach a British team. I'll probably also look at an historic NHL team from the mid 90s.

Probably a modern day game as the Blue Jackets. Playing as an expansion team in 2014 (Seattle or Quebec) is am appealing thought...building a franchise up from scratch.

I plan that too after I've played my first plans enough. It will be probably Pens or Sabres (but I am not sure at all) and I'll start at the early 90's.

My first game will probably to sim out history and sit back and watch and see how things unfold. That's something I love to do in ootp and just pour over te stats until I see everything I can.

After that, I will probably start a current league and sim a couple of seasons and bring back the nordiques or a fictional team and build them up.

Either way, I can't wait to try it
