The most abysmal season I have ever witnessed

They play with the most heart in the entire damned league!
Looks like that bullpen also helped carry them. Only 4th worst in the league! |

Is this a minor league. Often I witness those kinds of seasons, in my short season A clubs.

It's my college feeder league actually. The second worst team in this league had 19 wins, but I've never seen a team play so poor statistically speaking. They had literally one player worth anything and that's it.

I like the subtle understatement of "Who's Hot? Nobody".

I wonder if the Wash. Wizards can reach 5 wins this year.

Looks to me like two players (there's a scroll bar). That is sad though.

Somebody posted that they had a winless short season minor league team a few years back.

Interesting to see that the simple Pythagorean formula does quite well (predicted wins = 4.29, actual wins = 5) even in this extreme circumstance.

When I get back home I can go through my reference books and dig up some real-world examples of dreadful minor league seasons (nothing quite as bad as in the OP, but still awful).

Different sport, but the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League (Junior A hockey) went 3-60-3 in 1995-1996, then followed it up with a 13-51-2 record.
Since then though they are 626-327-34-16....there is hope. |

The 1899 Cleveland Spiders went 20–134.
