Do player error ratings ever increase?

I've got a 5 star SS with an error rating of 35/80. He's awesome, but his errors are killing me. Is there a way improve his error rating?

I think they increase with experience. Check the player editor in commissioner mode and see what his experience at SS is. IIRC they max is 200, after that the player will not get better.
