activating in windows 8 instructions

its simple, After a box comes up that says it wont register, hit cancel, Then another box comes up, select you want to manually register at another computer. Then in your smart phone or another non windows 8 computer, put the address in that it requests. After that put in the code the game supplies you. it then sends you a rather long activation key. right under the key you can request they email you the key. i suggest that because then you can just copy and paste that code to get your ootp 13 up and running. I just did it so i know it works

Agreed. Not to overly simple if you don't have a smartphone. There is a simpler way. However, I'm not at liberty to say here what that way is. The only way to find out is to submit a Support ticket. Sorry.

The only way my way isn't easy is if you don't have a smart phone or non windows 8 computer around the house or at a friends. I never did it before and it took me around 5 minutes.

In all honesty this is really the sort of problem that exists in more then a few game forums. people want to know how to do something but unless its a one click answer they would rather complain. I have moderate computer skills and did it easily.
