minor leaguers never retiring

while this is by no means commonplace, I have noticed a few minor league players on computer run teams that are in their fifties and sixties and still playing A ball. This is the default league, with the names corrected, in year 2048.

I'll look into it more closely then, and get an exact count. At least one was a position player. Can't remember for sure whether I've seen any pitchers. I didn't release them, tho, so they may still be there.

As far as I know, these guys had never played in the major leagues, but I'll double-check.

Yeah, never seen that here either - there are a few times I'd LIKE to see that but the game has never allowed me to do so. Is this possibly related to the roster file you are using? Has anyone else ever seen this?

I took the time last night to look at all of the minor leaguers for all the teams in my league and could find no one over 40. So, I must consclude one of the following things has occurred:

a) it was a dream
b) temporary insanity
c) i was looking at the player's number, not his age
d) i am an idiot
e) both c & d

Can we pretend this thread never happened?
