Just when I think I am starting to get it lol. Need help

Hey guys, played a season with yankees and started understanding some things, so I decided to create a fictional league and got lost lol. So I ask you guys what is the easiest way to start a small league when i can take full control over one team and try to get them going? Also do you guys do auto draft or manual, Serpentine or regular? Secondly what are the first picks you go for in draft, and what is the deal with DH rules? How do I turn DH on or does the game do it automatically? Say I create a league with 1 division of 8 teams and 1 AAA team do I set up DH or let the pitcher hit? I prefer DH being that I am an American League fan. Please let me know what steps I should take creating and starting out making a new league and what I should do after making. One last question, do you guys play every game or real time or just sim? What is best to do. I would think playing every game in an 80 game league that I made would take to much time. Thanks for all the help.

DH is up to you and can be found under Advanced Options during setup. You might be able to change it in season? or offseason under League Menu - League setup Options or Rules.

I play out all games until I am either up by 10 games or down by 10 games, then I sim a week at a time. I let my minor league managers handle lineups and promotions/demotions until I learn everyone better. My league is 154 games. I started this Oct 20th. I will play the ASG tomorrow. I have only played 3 games the last 2 days. I use straight draft for most leagues. This league I drafted myself 1st. then I go after my CF, SS, 1B, C, SP, CL, MR, 3B, RF, SP, MR, MR. I will sometimes relay on my scout which for my team is excellent overall for my league.

Here is an idea. Start a historical game in 1871. You have 8 teams and around 30 games to start out with. That way you can take it slow and learn something.
