PLease help?! Newbie cant change line-up

I have checked all the settings, and Im shown as in control of everything related to team management. Does anyone know what I may be overlooking, as in the Line-ups and Pitching screen (pregame) when I attempt to make a change a pop up tells me "Your not allowed to control this team". Additionally whats puzzeling is I can make changes to the team just fine, but not in pregame. Ive checked to make sure Im manager, not just GM- and that the pregame drop down says my name as in control of all the actions. Anyone know what I might have accidently toggled and am overlooking now when I search to disable or change whatever is blocking my game-time management. Thanks in advance for any help.

Under League menu, make sure you are at the major league level in the drop-down menu, then under Team Menu, select the team you want to control.

I think it was a glitch, in that I had them set as you just suggested, and it wouldn't work. I just shutdown and restarted and it's working now. Thanks for your response.
