Not sure where to post this at
I play a solo fictional league. My team is the Cardinals. After I lost in the first round of the playoffs, I start simming the rest of the playoffs. On the third day I receive a message: "Toronto has an illegal number of players on the active roster (0)." I don't care, but I can't continue. Help!

Go to the league page and check the box that allows ghost players

the issue would be that the playoff rosters may not be set i have had this issue before and i just set the playoff rosters and it was fine and i was able to continue .
and to the last ghost players are for minor leagues which should not affect ur mlb league since ur in the playoffs

To make the actual fix:
1) Go into Commissioner Mode 2) Go to Toronto's roster page 3) Go to the first player's page and to his player editor page 4) On the left side, half way down is a check box to make the player playoff eligible. Make sure it is checked. 5) On top right is an arrow to the next player. Click it 6) Repeat 3-5 until you have enough players playoff eligible. 7) Go to the team transaction page 8) Move the players who are now eligible to the playoff roster. This seems to happen with new leagues. I haven't seen it happen after year one. The other option is to turn off playoff rosters which you can do in the offseason. |

The team in question, Toronto, is not in the playoff, thus I can not move players to the playoff roster.

You don't have to. The error message said active roster. Go to Toronto's transactions tab. Click on the dropdown menu on one of the boxes where you should see Toronto Active Roster. According to the error this should have zero players. Populate this box (drag and drop) with players from minor league teams. I don't know the minimum number needed but try 15 to start.
