Ball Park Photos Note Loading

I have an existing game.

I downloaded the photopak into the ballparks folder in may saved games database.

They are there.

I am playing the 1903 season.

I have gone to the stadiums page and updated the photos so that they should be linking to the .prk file.

When I play a game I just have a blue background where the stadium should be.

Why?

Usually it's because the name of the ballpark pic is different than what's listed in the .prk file. Did you create those .prk files yourself or get them someplace else? Also, If you got the .prk files someplace else, you have to import them into the game as they don't auto do it. Read the last line on how to do it.
It's easy to tell if the actual pic is named incorrectly by opening the .prk file in notepad or similar txt editor. What you'll see, looks like this:
Code:

             QcΠcz ` #
› ^€ o ‹ O W . V /$?ffffff?\(\??333333?Mb?
…Q?(\?* - 1 5 < E L L E : 1 , J c ƒ r ^ J
   Angel Stadium of Anaheim Angel Stadium_D.jpg Angel Stadium_N.jpg l f, 'eD]*E U7o ŒHpŒ ’ * !
1. The name in orange is the exact ballpark name as it is in the game. Photos do not need to be named the same as this but it helps. Your choice. However, the actual .prk file has to be the same name.
2. The name in blue is the name of the day ballpark pic the game will use. If you don't have a day ballpark pic named exactly as this, the game can't load it.
3. The name in red is the name of the night ballpark pic the game will use.
If you don't have a night ballpark pic named exactly as this, the game can't load it.
Do Not Edit this file!!! Just close it when you're done and it won't mess up any of the data.

The proper way to associate ballparks and it's data to .prk files is to first manually load the correct pics for each teams ballpark. Once done click the import/export button and select "export all ballparks". That'll save all the .prk files and associated pics to your saved game's import_export folder. If you intend to use the same pics for the same teams in a new game, copy them to a separate folder. I keep mine in separate folders in the main ballparks folder and out of the game in separate ootp mods folders.
When you start a new game, simply open the League setup page, click on the edit ballparks. On that page, click the import/export button and select "auto import all ballparks and navigate to the folder containing the correct .prk files and pics you want to use and click ok. All your pics should load and show correctly.
Hope this helps.

Bigrod, wouldn't he just download the files and load them manually. If it's an historic league all the park factors would be in there already. This is how I do it. I never put files into my saved games folder.

Sounds like he already manually loaded them and just can't get them to show..and since he mentioned .prk files, he either dl'd them or created them himself. that's why I answered the way I did..didn't have much info to go on..
I never put files in my saved games either..always in the games main folders and subfolders if needed..helps me keep things straight..
