I have a few players who are angry with my team transactions. Now my team is pretty stacked but none of the superstars have really been able to put it together, and we are 30-35 and 7 games out of 1st place, but only 5 games out of the wild card.
Now the conundrum, do the players want me to trade for more stars? Or do they want me to sell? It's only the middle of June so I still have a chance for a good run. Also, a little off topic, but is it possible to make coaching changes in the game? Thanks for any input |

Just reflecting on how disappointing my team is haha. You'd think Matt Kemp, Clayton Kershaw, David Wright, Ian Kennedy, Justin Morneau, Andre Ethier, Chris Carpenter, Kenley Jansen and a group of competent young players would be able to put up a winning record at least...Reminds me of the Marlins from last year.

Unhappy players
My guess is that a player is only unhappy with team transactions when you add another player at the same position, whether or not the new player is a threat to the original player.
Not sure what you mean about changing coaches, since iOOTP does not have individual named coaches. I think that the team-strategy choices are the equivalent of hiring coaches with different approaches to game decisions (like how often to pull a starter). So far as I know, unlike the laptop version, there is no "hitting coach" or "pitching coach," etc., so that is not a way to get your team performing better. I imagine a player would be angry (or unhappy) if they-
Felt their job or playing time was threatened by a transaction, an extremely popular player was traded, they're always grumpy and complaining anyway, they're unsettled in their new city if they were just traded. Who knows what the developers have programmed. In the ootp13 manual concerning this subject, it mentions that all factors are not black or white for the player's mood on transactions. If their overall mood is still okay or happy, I'd keep an eye on transaction anger icon but wouldn't worry too much about it. It's another part of the game where you can let your imagination play! |

Think I figured it out. Seems that most of the players on the trading block were angry with team transactions. Thought they'd be happy to leave this disappointing team!
Thanks for the input |

Regarding the Trading Block has nayone actually been offered trades as a result of placing players on to the block ?
I never have and I must have played at least 20+ seasons with different teams. |

Me Too
Yeah I never have either, but what does make players mad about team transactions? That one is hard, none of my players can win games because they are mad about team transactions.

Angry players
I am not convinced by personal experience that angry players cannot play well. I could be wrong.
My guess has been that the penalty we pay for angry players is bigger demands for extensions, or a decision to become a free agent without first asking us for an extension. |

I think angry players have a higher probability of going on a "cold streak" just like happy players would have a higher probability of a "hot streak".
