League Setup in-game changes

I'm playing a historical game from the beginning in 1871, how come after every year I have to keep going into league setup and changing the team abbreviations from like CL3 to CLE, and they never stay set for the next season. Also this happens with all-star game, I uncheck the box for it every year but there is always an all-star game.

Do you have your league set to follow actual evolution?

Do you your league set to import real rookies to real teams?

Could be a number of reasons why.

Nope

Could be a number of reasons why.
So the evolution could be what keeps resetting all the abbreviations?
