Hey guys!
This patch is a maintenance release, it fixes a couple of bugs from the previous 13.7.28 build. The fixes are: - The historical player import dialog again allows the import of single players via lahman ID - Fixed the scouting task-list Also new in this build compared to version 13.6: - The historical player import dialog (league transactions screen) can now import multiple historical players via a text file. - Any non-affiliated league can now optionally feed into the amateur draft pool of another league (based on age-restriction settings). - Added a scout task list for scouting players, which can be found and edited in the scout's profile screen. This allows you to mark several players to be scouted and the scout will work through the task list, filing reports automatically. - Fixed several bugs. Download links: Download link for PC, patch file: PC Patch Download link for PC, full setup: PC Installer Download link for Mac, full setup: Mac OS X Installer Download link for Linux, full setup: Linux Installer UPDATE INFO: To apply the patch, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. Alternatively, for PC only, there is a smaller patch file which will update your current installation properly. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. If you have modified any default files, please make sure you backup these files and restore them after the update. Your saved games are not touched and will remain compatible with the new version. This is the last scheduled patch for OOTP 13. Enjoy the MLB playoffs! ![]() Cheers, Markus |

I play on a Mac. What is the 'in game update' thing?

I think I know the answer but would like confirmation; Is this patch backward compatible[for online leagues], will it work with the other two patches released since last Friday [commish at older version]?

FYI - Just did a in-game "check for update" and the dialog box stated that my game was up to date. Clearly this is not the case. I will use the link here but I would have expected the in game updater to alert me to the new patch as well.

I've never updated before - using my original 13.3 build 9 version. I presume I can just go straight to this 13.8.30 version and install it over top my old version without installing previous patches, right?

I just did the in-game update and it told me it is not up-to-date and the latest version is 13.7.29

Hey all. I made the unfortunate error of downloading the App Store version of OOTP 13. I had an iTunes gift card to use...
Now I want to play in an online league and I can't keep up with all the new versions due to waiting for Apple's review process. Help?!? |

A quiet patch release is always a good thing.

Gosh, that was scary. Bad post. Not only the wrong way to start a new thread, I wasn't even in the right forum!
![]() Um, now I've got to say something about patch 13.8.30 or I'm going to look dumb(er). ![]() I know. And this is legitimate, too, because I have been wondering: In these last few patches, was any work done to tone down Storylines a bit? Recall, please, the discussion that Storylines were capable of doing a number on Market Size and Fan Interest/Loyalty out of proportion to the story itself. Were those ever edited at all? I've had Storylines off ever since.

You're at the mercy of Apple, so there's not much that can be done.

I can definitely understand how the effect of certain storylines could be disproportionate, though. There are so many aspects of each storyline that need to be planned out in advance and then tested, it wouldn't surprised me if some of the numbers were a little too high. Could you also point me to the thread you referred to where this issue was discussed previously? I want to make sure I don't overlook any specific storylines that have caused problems. Thanks.
