I've noticed that Ripken, Kingman, Canseco and McGwire are incredibly slow in getting home runs. Are they just on their respective reserve rosters, or is it other complications?

I'd put Ripken/Kingman and Canseco/McGwire into two different categories. I'm using the Spritze database so players will import when they were 18, not when they made their debut. It's still early for Canseco and McGwire though, and I'm not seeing any warning signs yet, so I think they'll be ok and are just developing.

Both Dave Kingman and Cal Ripken really never developed unfortunately. It's not just home runs, they just all around aren't very good.

4/12/1983-Bob Beall hits 400th

Bob Beall hit just 1 home run in real life, but became the 19th member of the 400 home run club. There isn't even any minor league home run success that Beall can point too, just a random talent change, or a series of changes that saw his power potential go from 5 to 20.

4/24/1983 - Masashi Takenouchi hits 400th

Masashi Takenouchi became the 20th player to reach 400 home runs in his career. While Takenouchi never played in the majors, he was a professional in Japan where he hit 216 home runs in his *** career.

Winfield was one of my favorites growing up as well.

He's definitely not having as good of a career as he did in real life, but not terrible.

Bill McNulty keeps on going, hitting the 600th home run of his career. At 38 years old McNulty is the fourth player to hit 600 home runs in his career. McNulty was 1-27 in his major league career, and his one hit was a single.

1984 - Evans and Kingman retire

Another round of failures, as both Darrell Evans and Dave Kingman retired far short of their real life totals. Evans managed to hit just 187 home runs, while Dave Kingman did even worse, hitting just 2 home runs in his career. We're now up to 21 straight failures.

Joe Hague retired with 571 career home runs. Hague hit 40 home runs in real life.

Bill McNulty passed 600 home runs this season, and led the league with 49 home runs.

4/20/1985 - Robson hits 700th

Name: HR - Tom Robson.jpg
Views: 347
Size: 17.0 KB

Tom Robson became the second player in history to hit 700 career home runs, and has a shot to become the all-time home run king. Robson didn't hit any home runs in real life, playing in just 23 games.

I know I've said this before, but Robson did become a coach after his playing days, and did author a book called The Hitting Edge - The Hitting Edge: Tom Robson: 9780736033367: Amazon.com: Books

It might be worth reading if his play in the replay is any indication.

8/26/1985 - Aikens reaches 400

Name: HR - Willie Aikens.jpg

Willie Aikens hit the 400th home run of his career today becoming the 21st member of the 400 club. Aikens hit 110 home runs in real life, with three seasons of more than 20 home runs (23,21,20). While not a big power hitter, he ranks 5th in actual home runs out of the 21 members of the 400 home run club.

Excellent Dynasty

Great read. Will you stop it in 2012 or will you allow guys like Bryce Harper Giancarlo Stanton complete their careers to see how many they hit?

Schmidt just turned 37 right before the season ended. There should be plenty of time for him, but I don't want to jinx things - so that's all I'm going to say.

Thanks! I'll continue going until the last of the real players finish their careers, so we'll get to see how Bryce Harper and Giancarlo Stanton do.

Will this include real players in the minors at the start of RL 2012? Like Profar, Machado... etc.
